On Monday it was announced that NBA commissioner David Stern has
been named the 2007 Woman of the Year by thumpernewman.com. Years from now the
decline of American Basketball will be directly related to David Stern. The changes
in the rules of the game to accommodate
the smaller more athletic players. The Stats of smaller players
have gone up during Sterns tenure, but their skill levels has diminished
dramatically. In 1992 the USA Olympic team won the Gold medal winning games by a
margin of more than 30 ppg. but since the 2000 Olympics, team USA has failed to
win Gold at any major international event. Team USA finished 6th at the 2002
World Championships, 3rd at the 2004 Olympics & 3rd at the 2006 World
Championships.
